This careful construction method allowed Renthal to engineer some flex into the bars as well; while rigidity is important, having a little give goes a long way towards retaining feeling in your hands after a few hours on the trails. Its 800mm stance orients you in the kind of stable, elbows-up position you'll want on flowy descents, and Renthal coats the stem clamp area of the bars in an abrasive finish to ensure zero movement at the point your stem and bars interact.
