The Recon 3.0 is a race-ready shoe designed for speed, durability, and comfort without sacrificing off-the-bike capability. It combines the performance benefits of Body Geometry technology with a lightweight design that is 10 grams lighter than the previous generation.Body Geometry technology is ergonomically designed and scientifically proven to improve comfort, increase performance, and reduce the chance of injury through patented technology that improves power by 7 watts. The sole and footbed optimize hip, knee, and foot alignment for enhanced efficiency.Stride Technology provides a flexible outsole and upper around the toe box combined with a stiff cleat pocket, enabling the shoe to flex easily when walking while remaining stiff and efficient when pedaling. The carbon STRIDE toe-flex technology allows for natural toe movement off-bike while maintaining a Stiffness Index of 10.0 for pedaling.The Recon 3.0 features a Premium BOA(R) Fit System with Dual Dial Li2 fine-tune that delivers micro adjustable, multi-directional precision fit for improved performance. The lace routing and BOA(R) dial placement are pulled directly from the S-Works Recon. A carbon plate keeps the shoe lightweight and stiff for optimal power output on the pedal.The fully-welded upper reduces seams for superior step-in comfort, and SlipNot(TM) rubber tread provides confident traction on all terrain. The shoe uses a two-bolt cleat pattern that fits all major MTB pedals.
