Begin by inserting the cleaning rod into the bolt face and securing one clamp at the end of the bolt face. Remove the cleaning rod and insert a round into the chamber. Then, position the end of the cleaning rod against the back of the round and attach the second clamp at the end of the bolt face. Finally, remove the rod and measure the distance between the two clamps or use it as a gauge to verify the seating depth setup during your reloading process.
