Building on the success of our match and tactical scope mounts, we designed the Hunt rings to be lightweight, rigid and capable of securely holding an optic in environments with significant recoil. Achieving this was a complex manufacturing challenge. Our solution involved developing a process that produces final-bore matched rings with raw aluminum internals, ensuring a grip on your optic that is more reliable and precise than any other product available. Like most rings, these start as separate components. We manufacture the bases and caps in batches. Unlike others who may simply anodize and assemble these parts, we incorporate additional steps into our process. After anodizing, the parts are fully assembled and placed back into specially designed rail fixtures. The caps are torqued to specification over custom-made spacers, allowing the rings to properly secure the optic. They are then final-bored as sets in our state-of-the-art machining centers. The rings are removed from the machine in matched sets and packaged together, ensuring that each pair is perfectly aligned and reliable for decades of use.
